Blogging

I’d challenged myself a while back to post an entry every day, but I’m having trouble finding enough to talk about to justify it. This isn’t apparent, of course, if you have to deal with me in person because it seems like the spoken word stream is never-ending. But here on the page, it’s different. I feel like something has to be important enough to get into, when that’s really not the case. As evidenced by David’s blog, where he’ll eventually be reporting his opinions on the color of the carpets at work and what the clouds were shaped like today. For the record, they’re shaped like clouds.

I could talk about the recent passings of Will Elder and Sydney Pollack, but I don’t have the energy. Also, it seems like all the posts I did for a while involved dead people and that’s not really what I want this place to become. I will say that Will Elder is a huge influence of mine and I wouldn’t be half the cartoonist I am if I hadn’t come across his early work for the Mad comic. Amazing, amazing stuff. And Sydney Pollack? What’s there to say? Amazing body of work. Both will be missed.

There are two new projects I’m working on right now that I’m excited about, but I don’t want to get into either of them until more work has been done. So that’s out. But my collaborators on these projects are awesome. There’s a third one, too, if I can squeeze out the time. That one should be a lot of fun as well.

I’ve never really gone into my personal personal life here and I’m not about to start, so there’s that.

I’ll find something. Everyday. No matter how minute.

Baby carrots are delicious.

I have no opinions on the carpets at work. What I write about is RELEVANT. To everyone. True Story.

Seriously? I’m not the only one being mean in this relationship, champ.

  5. David says:

No. That is absolutely TRUE. I have no opinions, whatsoever, on the carpets at work. None. I don’t even know what carpets are.

IAC – You’ve been exceptionally un-nice of late. I don’t know what the deal is.

David – I dare you to blog about the carpets. DARE YOU.

I TOLD YOU!!!!! I don’t even know what carpets are. I can’t have an opinion on something I know nothing about. You blog about carpets. I’d like to learn about what they are.

There’s a typo in the second sentence of paragraph two. You wrote, “… and that’s not really what I want to this place to become.”

    FYI.

I know how anal you are about typos, and I don’t want to this become standard practice.

    FIXED! Thanks, sir!
