Travel Is Fun

searstower.jpgI’ve made last minute arrangements to attend Wizard World Chicago, another Nerd Convention. Making last minute arrangements is fun and exciting and exceedingly stupid. I’ll be flying (or, rather, riding in a machine that flies) out on Friday and returning on Monday with hotel accommodations that will potentially have me sleeping in O’Hare Airport Sunday night. Or maybe in the sewers if the quantity of alligators seems reasonable.

Part of the reason this trip is important to me is that I get to hang out with Joe, Phil, Irv, DJ, Tom, Zach, Lou, and some others in the Windy City. I also get to meet some people who are integral to what’s going to be my new ongoing online comic series, which I can’t really talk about yet. You will, however, read it once it comes out and will be enthralled. You will make mention of it in your Christmas Cards and Hanukkah Telegrams and your family will be similarly taken over by it. The nation will change as the result of my new comic strip. The world will take a deep breath and a step forward in its wake. And there will be giggling, perhaps even full-scale laughter.

So if you’re under the oddly-shaped route between DC and Chicago (with a stop in Detroit! Neat!), wave at each passing plane because I might be on it, waving back or using the lavatory.

Holy Crap! This is the closest you’ve been to Minnesota in a long time. If I came out there, would you have time to hang out? Email me!
