I was sad to hear that Dave Cockrum, a huge influence on my cartooning style, passed away last night. Any time you see heavy blacks or determined feathering in my inking, that’s Dave Cockrum standing behind me grinning and egging me on. He’s been ill for a while, but that makes it no less upsetting.

That’s all. I should start writing about things other than people who’ve died, eh?
