07.15Brandon Loves Imaginary Movies
Joe Dunn (of Digital Pimp fame) has been doing a strip called “Joe Loves Crappy Movies” for a while now. Seeing an opportunity to mooch and steal attention from others, I pitched a guest strip idea to Joe for a movie I’ve not even seen. Open to anything (as only a pint of vodka poured down your throat can make you), Joe agreed.

If you’re checking it out late and have to bump back through the archives, it’s the July 15th entry.

Cool ass comic:) Your art’s always a treat. Long live Iago (or whatever his name is).

Thanks, Pag! Good to hear from you.
That is indeed Iago. It was nice to draw him again. It’s been too long. Maybe I’ll have to do it more…

Holy crap the was awesome. At first reading your comic I laughed. Then I read the review and got confused (being that it differed so heavily from every other review I’ve read and even the basic story I’ve heard of [not seeing the movie myself]). Then I read the title again and nearly laughed myself into tears. Your review was awesome and I think it would have been a lot better if they had gone with your plan. Good work and I hope you steal more readers with this guest spot.

Thanks, Rich! Glad you dug it. I’ve actually heard from a couple of people who’ve said they want to see the movie now after reading my review. I’m debating on whether or not to let them in on the joke!
Joe’s given me an open invite to crash his Crappy Movie party in the future, so I’ll have to see what other tricks I can come up with.

Once, again, I picked myself up off the floor after being totally awed by your comicking skill. How I wish you were in every newspaper across the country.
Okay, it’s good just to see Iago again.
Well, the pictures are pretty too.
Oh, heck, reading it is funny.
You rule, B!

Man, I could stand to be in every newspaper. But could every newspaper stand me? Only time will tell.
Thanks for checking it out, Teej!

B,
Marvel Entertainment should fire that freak Ari Avid and put you in charge of making the Marvel films. Stoopid Marvel. Why doesn’t Hollywood get ? Remain faithful to the source material, ya mushin heads!
Thanks for the review. It made me laugh and cry all at the same time.
best,

Great! That was very hilarious. I unfotunately actually saw the movie. It was absolutely awful. Quite frankly, you should be writting for Hollywood. It would be much better stuff.
